Capitol Modern: the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum
Hands-on art making activities for all ages! Museum galleries will be open with the "2026 Hawaiʻi Regional Scholastic Student Art Awards", "Schaefer Portrait Challenge" and "Contemporary Portraiture: Art in Public Places" exhibits. Free admission. Please note that the Hawaiʻi Regional Scholastic Student Art Awards ceremony will be taking place on the front lawn at the same time. We expect a larger than usual crowd and recommend allowing extra time to find parking or use public transportation or rideshares if possible.
