About the Artists

Rhiana Alana Lewis

Rhiana Alana Lewis is a singer/songwriter originally from Los Angeles California, transplanted to O‘ahu, Hawai‘i. Rhiana currently plays guitar, ukulele, piano, as well as sings. Her biggest passion musically is song writing.

Rhiana has been playing music and singing for most of her life. Music has always been a passion. Even before she could play instruments, she sang and made up songs as young as 5 years old. Later in her teens, she taught herself how to play guitar solely by writing songs on her own. After seeing what she was capable of on guitar and as a song writer, she was able to teach herself multiple instruments. Rhiana studied Jazz Guitar / Music composition and earned an Associates Degree in Music Composition in 2018.

Since moving to the island, Rhiana has played many open mic nights, and a variety of other shows. Rhiana writes songs that are relatable, rainging from deeply emotional to light and fun to bob along to. Her music has been compared to Amy Winehouse meets No Doubt.

Rhiana has a 2024 Australia tour planned, and has a single "I Dont Wanna Fall" released in February 2024.

The Elevations

“We are a 9 piece vintage soul band, doing it in the original style before Motown. It was at the cusp of original R&B from the 50’s mixed with the Jazz and Gospel that Soul music was born. That’s the era that we are focusing on — the origin, the source. To me, it’s a more driving sound, more raw, more gritty, so real and honest. I guarantee that most people have never heard of Bettye Lavette, Jean Wells, Ricky Allen, Freddie Scott, et al. But, we are also looking to modern bands that play in that style (Vintage Soul) as well like Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Lee Fields and The Expressions, Saunn & Starr.... These bands provide the bridge from the original artists to the modern day. It is from here that we hope to make a difference, by making our own original music to share with the rest of the world.” Eric, The Elevations Hawai’i
