Coral Bone Project Clay Day
Jun 27, 2026 • 1:00 PM
– 3:00 PM
Capitol Modern: the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum
Inspired by coral reef systems, collective care, and ocean pilina, this hands-on event invites participants of all ages to create coral bones from clay. Through art-making, conversation, and knowledge sharing, the Coral Bone Project explores connection between people, reefs, and place while raising awareness for coral reef futures in Hawaiʻi and beyond. Come shape clay, build community, and "artivate" for reef futures. Presented by the University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant College Program, Symphony of the Hawaiʻi Seas, and Capitol Modern. Free, all ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
