Celestial Concerto: Composed in Creativity and Compassion. The Mod Gala 2026 fashion exhibition at Capitol Modern invites audiences to experience Celestial Concerto: Composed in Creativity and Compassion. Showcasing looks from the fashion show, this exhibition encourages viewers to look upward—and forward. Inspired by the universality of the shared sky, the works presented here explore how fashion can become a language of reflection, imagination, and connection during a time when communities across the world continue to navigate questions of inequity, political polarization, identity, and belonging.

Designers were given only the theme as a point of departure. From there, they ventured into their own artistic voices, drawing inspiration from distant galaxies, celestial mythology, ancestry, sustainability, spirituality, and the relationship between humanity and the natural world. The runway became a living canvas where sculptural silhouettes, reimagined materials, and cultural storytelling converged in expressions that felt at once futuristic and deeply rooted.

Featured designers Ryan Whittaker, Mapis Bernal, Kye Harford, and Marques Hanalei Marzan each transformed the theme through their own creative lens, inviting us into worlds both intimate and infinite. Together, their work reminds us that art has the power not only to inspire wonder, but also to create dialogue and connection—illuminating the spaces between ourselves and one another, much like the stars that guide us across the night sky.
